Memory Mapped Device Problems

Question

Why can't I get my memory mapped devices working?

Answer

The most likely explanation is that the External Data Memory is still mapped to the emulator. Memory mapping is used to determine whether the emulation processor uses the emulator's memory or the memory in your target system.

First, select the Configure - Xdata Memory Map command and verify that the address range of your devices is contained in the Mapped To Target column. If it is not, then select either the Map All button to map all of External Data Memory to your target system, or the Map Block button to map the address range of your devices to your target system's memory.
