Summary:

The MetaICE XF-DS80C390, XF-DS80C400 and XF-DS80C410 emulators use a MetaLink patented technology that has been licensed to Dallas Semiconductor and implemented in their DS80C390, DS80C400 and DS80C410 chips. The benefits are:

The MetaICE XF emulator advances the state of the art in 8051 emulator design with its combination of size, features and price.  While only 3.3" (8,5cm) x 3.0" (7,7cm), the emulator provides many outstanding features found on much larger and more expensive emulators, including the following key real time feature:

  • Display of SFR write data in the trace memory

In addition, the MetaICE XF for the DS80C390, DS80C400 and DS80C410 comes with 2Mb Code memory and 2Mb of external data memory standard.  The emulator includes a large time stamped trace buffer that can capture up to 512K cycles of bus activity.

The MetaICE XF emulator system is a self-contained unit that includes the emulation electronics, the probe for the DS80C390, DS80C400 or DS80C410 and a mating adapter to plug directly into the target application's footprint - all in only 3.3" (8,5cm) x 3.0" (7,7cm) of space.

The MetaICE XF Windows-based user interface delivers the highest development productivity. The context-sensitive hypertext and hyperlinked help system makes this interface easy to learn and easy to use.

The MetaICE XF includes a full symbolic and source level debugger for Assemblers and Compilers. The emulator supports the most popular 8051 Assemblers and Compilers.
